![]() ![]() ![]() Other than that you can scrap most everything else. For effects, the best effects are tranq, acid, burst, 2 or 3 rate, extra commands, and maybe a couple or few others. ![]() But a good smg is infrequent and there are only 2 or 3 that don't have random fire on them and also have good amount of effect slots, and two of those are in the New Game + dungeon. The best weapons are handguns and smgs imo for their rate of fire (as far as New Game+ weapons go). But I've never played a game like the first Parasite Eve before and I'm just unsure on how to proceed optimally when my Tools are in limited supply. How should I handle transferring RoF effects onto my main weapons if I have to choose between transferring stats or RoF effects? But apparently the Burst RoF you get off Shotguns is good on some weapons. Oh, and lastly, which RoF effects should I keep on my weapons? I know most people stick with either 2x or 3x and that the Random RoF you get on Machineguns is garbage. And from what I've read, Shotguns and Machineguns aren't worth using and are only picked up to transfer their effects. What should I use as my next main weapon to transfer all the stats on the M16 to? Should I be hoarding my Mod Permits for now until I find a weapon that will serve me for the rest of the game? And should I pick Rifles over Pistols in all circumstances, or are there some Pistols that make worthy endgame weapons? So far I can't see any point in not using Rifles all the way apart from Pistols having faster ATB charging. I plan on transferring the stats off the M1911 into it when I get back to the precinct, and I picked up the M203 at the zoo but already know that you should never use elemental effects on your weapons so it's staying in the armoury. But with Tools being so limited and precious, which weapons should I be prioritising as my primary weapon, and how should I prioritise my armour and defensive stats if offense should be my main focus? I'm at the start of day 3 in the pharmacy, and so far I've basically just been using the M16 and thrown about 8 upgrade points into its attack stat and a couple into my armour. Second, I know everyone advises to throw all BP into increasing your weapon's attack value and transferring all the attributes onto a new weapon with better base stats as you find them. I thought something was wrong when I went back to Central Park and the random birds were apparently giving over 1000 exp. The number at the top is TOTAL exp, and remaining exp til next level is underneath. I heard that the first game has mechanics to prevent power levelling so that everyone finishes at around level 33-34 unless they level grind in the final stage, so is my next level exp total increasing exponentially and just not telling me on the screen or something? It's kinda confusing and leaving me no idea when I'll actually hit the next level (FYI, I finished day 2 at level 16.)ĮDIT: So, stupid me didn't realise I was reading the exp rewards wrong. If I got, say, 650 exp, the next level total would only go down by about 40 or so. So, I finally got around to playing the first game and I have a few questions about the level mechanics and how to effectively use Tools and such.įirst off, regarding the exp you get after a battle and the amount shown on the menu screen to reach the next level, why do they not line up? I was grinding the birds in Central Park on the second day for Junk and levels, and after a while I noticed that whenever I gained exp after a battle, the points required for the next level weren't going down in proportion to the amount of exp gained. ![]()
